Change her animal to something more realistic, as with all of the animals in South Africa, I doubt a child would pick something as ugly as a jellyfish. Change what she wants to be to something like a nurse or a vet, which shows she's always liked helping people (which is realistic!!!)

yeah it’s just opposite to my view on the purpose of prose. in my eyes the point of a work is the narrative and that should be the focus. the elements should reinforce the narrative and the characters. when my prose works against my narrative i change the prose. i think an author can still write about what it’s about and who it’s about without becoming style heavy. you’re talented i just disagree with the aspect you are choosing to emphasize and making it intentionally obscure. i’ll read it when it comes out and i’m sure it will be high quality but you don’t need to send me anything early because i unfortunately guarantee the only thing i’ll have to say is that the prose should stop competing with narrative clarity.

I've read Chekhov's short stories as an example of simple stories that are enhanced thoroughly by their content. It's fine if you disagree with my philosophy, otherwise it wouldn't be my work. Simple stories still work, but I chose a simple plot told in depth instead. Narrative clarity is one thing, and that is your emphasis. It isn't my priority, and, like my book says at one point,

I am a fan of wrestling and began to wonder:

Zaryans, I've been connecting the dots since I was a kid. It was this analyzing mindset combined with the Love of the Father and the direction Holy Spirit that led me to Christ. It has come to a point where I can not ignore the signs anymore. I have started to receive visions about this aswell. Nearing the end of this Lent I've decided to finally put my thoughts out there. I have prepared this infographic to explain what I'm trying to say. I've stopped using imageboards and internet as a whole a long time ago and I genuinely do not use any other site than soyzellig, I made this infographic to share with you zaryans because I genuinely love you from the heart as my brothers in Christ. I want to make Maya play Outlast or Amnesia when she's really tense and on edge I want to suddenly grab her sides and shout "BOO!".

I want to put my arms around Maya and ask her to tell me how her day went and she would talk to me for a few minutes about how shitty her day was before she starts to cry a little and I have to comfort her by gently stroking her head and saying that it's okay to feel shitty and that we all have bad days and that it's going to get better soon.

I want to hold Maya in my arms while she goes on some autistic rant about the lore of her favorite anime or whatever slop she watches for a few hours while I gently stroke her hair until she gets bored or tired.

I want to tightly hug Maya while we watch a movie together and eventually she just gets a little sleepy and she rests her head on my chest before falling asleep while I gently caress her.

If I played a game with Maya and I won she would immediately break down crying and curl up in a ball and call herself a pathetic retard and I have to comfort her by giving her a hug and telling her that it's alright and that she's not a retard.
