>>122775The animation does stand out (story wise it wasnt perfect and was a bit nihilistic in the end), but it wasnt something revolutionary and "telling you enough to make your own story" or "theory-crafting the ending" isnt a quality of the pilot itself, thats you making stuff up, to put it bluntly. It was just one pilot and some art, nothing really substantial or developed, only potential.
the main reason people stayed long term was the community. it wasnt just the cherry on top; personally i would have never watched it if it wasnt tied to the sharty, its a dutch cartoon, i dont speak dutch or was not interested in holland by itself. Even Mymy (and ig the other two) being racist came from the sharty.
The /co/ part is sort of true, but still doesnt change the fact that the war would have likely lasted longer (how longer i have no clue). After february, /co/ was gone.
