>Maya represents the post modernist commoner. The husk of what man used to be, the consumerist media addicted gooner living only to satiate their most immediate desires with no pursuit of excellence or higher calling. This character has no spine and no will to shape the world or even mend their own inadequacy. When presented with adversity she folds, when presented with problems she flees, when presented with opportunities she backs out. She is only comfortable in her gooning attire engrossed in her decadent cartoons. She is bitter and jaded and in full conscious of her own predicament yet too prideful to allow people to assist her out of her vain lifestyle. There is nothing redeemable in her character, she is inept and without virtue and an ugly mirror to the world we've built.

>Coco is the innocence of this world, but not in a good way. Coco is a victim of tragedy at the hands of south african niggers who murdered and raped her parents (this was later retconed by Massa post mossad acquisition). Despite this she exudes kindness. While she may seem commendable at first her ignorance is shown on full display in deel 2 and onwards. She as a character serves to show that good intentions cannot be realized through incompetence and imperceptiveness. Coco failed to observe the saying of Hippocrates: "Before you heal someone, ask him if he's willing to give up the things that make him sick." She is insistent on helping Maya despite Maya's unwillingness to cooperate which only serves to push them away until external circumstances bring about a fragile, uneasy truce. Coco is also a subtle commentary on women being stupid.

>Mymy is the ailment of modernity. She is the estranged, the one that has seen modernity but instead of falling into it like Maya she has gotten agitated. She will, similarly to Maya, shake her fist at society in spite. But unlike Maya her shaking is animated by tenacity and inspiration. She is the embodiment of the indominable aryan spirit, she will pursue her high set ambitions through mud and blood, unyielding in her moral principles. Mymy is a romantic stuck in a mechanical time. She yearns for glory in a world that only offers hedonism and she lashes out at it with flavors of fanaticism, racial supremacist larp and histrionicism. She is the defacto poster girl of the show as she is the character the viewers are most likely to resonate with, the viewers who have rejected mass produced slop like the shitty digital circus or fundamental toilet-paper education in favor of slow burn, esoteric, more refined slop.

>The creator Massa, known for his ultra nationalism has denounced the international audience on many occasions, even electing to use a dutch exclusive donation website. He has also railed against materialist and consumerist practices such as merch and shilling. His activity has since been neutered by known associate of mossad, Foenkie. His 'cord server has been sanitized as Foenkie conducted total soyposter death and banned all references to soyjaks, soyspeak, TND, racism, transphobia and anti semitism. Massa is also rumored to have received a large amount of hush money from israel to cease his work on ongezellig which he used to finance his work on shitty iceberg videos no one gives a shit about.

Studio Massa quit ongezellig because it wasn't profitable, because it drained him, and because he saw no future in it. Call it burnout or disappointment if it helps you sleep better at night, but the truth is simple: he left out of self-interest. That's not an insult, it's just reality. People follow what benefits them, and he did exactly that. Now I'm doing the same. I've supported this "short film" longer than anyone, carried it with content while it stagnated, and now that it's clear the show won't grow, I'm leaving. Not because I'm emotional, but because I have goals that this show will never help me reach. You can cry about respect and loyalty all you want, but in the end, Sam made a decision driven by what was best for him. And so am I. If that makes me greedy, then so be it. But don't preach optimism when the show hasn't earned it. Ongezellig didn't make enough, didn't deliver enough, and didn't grow enough.

You're not wrong. But you're not right either. You're just too soft to say the truth out loud. Sam quitting because he was burnt out, hated, underpaid, or whatever excuse you want to paint it with doesn't change the fact that his decision was driven by self-interest. He saw no reward, no growth, no return and he left. That's called being greedy. Not in a bad way. In a realistic way. Everyone follows what benefits them. That's not a sin, that's just how people work. So when I call it out, I'm not disrespecting him I'm exposing the truth you're too emotionally attached to admit. The moment this show stopped paying off, he vanished. And now when I do the same, you cry foul? That's hypocrisy. I'm not sentimental. I'm here to win. He did what was best for him. And so will I. It's not about hate. It's not about feelings. It's about results. And ongezellig failed to deliver. That's reality. And if you can't handle that, don't argue with me go argue with the numbers. The numbers made him switch iceberg content not me.
I don't care what delusional fantasy you've convinced yourself of I'm not wrong, and I'm not entertaining anything else. Just because I'm a big ongezellig fan doesn't mean I owe anyone a teary goodbye or a sugar-coated lie about a pilot I no longer respect. Ongezellig is mediocre in my eyes, and no comment, complaint, or guilt trip is going to change that. I'm not here to coddle a community or play pretend to keep anyone comfortable. That's not honesty, that's acting. And I'm no liar. If the truth hurts, then maybe you've just been avoiding it for too long. I'm not staying quiet to please people who already made up their minds. You want to be emotional about a dead show? Be my guest. But I won't sit here and fake optimism for something that's already flatlined.

I’ve been in the studio massa discord server for about 3 years now, I LVOED the web series ongezellig. From the tape that’s set up outside maya’s room to mymy’s “Anime: Japanese Death Camps for the soul” I always loved this series' n' shiet. I even paid money so I could see Massa’s petje.af, I loved the show so much, my ex-girlfriend for my 23rd birthday dressed up as one of the characters, she even put on orange body paint. One day I was sitting in one of the many vc streams massa does in his server when halfway through he was drawing stille willem. But something felt off, he sounded sad, he sounded like he had been crying for weeks. Regardless he pressed on with his drawing and soon after the stream was done, but for some reason he moved me to a different, private voice call. He joined soon after and said “Whassup” and began crying. He them said in dutch, “Ik ben gediagnosticeerd met een klinische depressie en worstel al een paar weken met deze ziekte, depressie ten top, ik heb mogelijk ook een seksueel overdraagbare aandoening opgelopen.” He then sighed, and DM’d me a zip file titled “Edpisode 2 deel 1-8” and left. When I saw this, I was ecstatic, I lost consciousness, and I coincidentally fell on my keyboard and moved my mouse enough and downloaded it. When I woke up, the episode finished downloading, and I opened the file. I saw all the deels were actually just compiled into one whole episode instead of what I presumed to be multiple video files. So as giddy as I was I opened the NEW second episode.
The episode starts with text flashing saying “This is a test and not a final product,” with the dutch television station for greater Amsterdam AT5 below it and then cuts to Mymy crying in her room with her Kapitein Koek parrot body pillow next to her. She looks at the camera with hyper-realistic bloodshot eyes. She soon takes her nerf musket and puts it to the roof of her mouth, with it trembling in her hands. Before then after Coco opens the door with her board game that they usually play with at the end of every deel and says “Hoi Mymy” before a loud gunshot is heard as the screen cuts to black with what you’d presume to be coco screaming. But it didn’t sound voice acted, it sounded like an actual scream of terror like somebody just witnessed another person being murdered. The screen then fades back in as you can see Mymy talking with coco, as if everything was normal, but Mymy was visibly missing half her head with a visible exit wound. After they conversate which weirdly was in this backwards dutch, they both look to the camera, and Coco’s eyes started to bleed immensely and we were then taken back to the title screen with the “test” card. I could only presume that was the ending of deel 1, as deel 2 began. We see Mymy and Coco talking with each other in school with Vera the teacher drinking her classic alcoholic drink from the classic big green bottle with the classic bees on it in her classic mug with her classic purple hair and classic sweater, classic. Soon Mymy was called up to do a presentation. I thought they were done doing presentations in the first episode but i guess this might be for a different subject, Mymy as she was walking up the environment of the classroom started to look strange, like the paint was peeling off the walls, and everybody looked sick. When the camera finally shows her infront of the class Mymy begins to cry again. But THEN the classmates started to cry with her as multiple mymy’s began to crawl out of the classmates as they all had hyper-realistic bloodshot eyes. Stare at Mymy crying, the only people who weren’t like this were Maya and Coco. Under all this immense pressure Mymy took out a gun and killed her clones, at this point I didn’t what I am even viewing this never happened this was never par for the course of anyhting studio massa had made up until this point I begin to question happened to all of the silly jokes or references to dutch culture like the classic maps in the back of the classroom. Or even using dutch Microsoft Word to complete a geshidineis presentatie. I couldn’t take much more of this and I shut off my computer, but not before moving the files to a usb stick and smashing the stick into billions of little pieces, I advise others to do the same if you have been given this file.
A few days afterwards, Massa was doing another stream and I asked him about what that was all about with the fucked up deel. I asked him “Why do ya gotta do a nigga like this, with an episode like this?” Massa soon responded like. “What? What? Are you on about, have you taken your meds today? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I insist to looking at our Dms where most of the time before we’d talk about the plot of ongezellig and how much I loved his work, but the file wasn't there. Massa soon after blocked which wasn’t like him, I felt pretty bad. Then I get a text from my BTICH ex-girlfriend, I was hoping it was her pastrami mud flaps on camera but it was instead her rotting corpse with hyper-realistic blood, and in the corner was mimi, her eyes glowing red. It was something of nightmares out of a creepypasta, maybe something that would be read by MrCreepypasta. Even /co/ losers wouldn’t dream of thinking something of this magnitude up. I look at the massa discord server and realize that ALL of the profiles became Mymy profiles my head started to spin. I hear knocking outside my door I yell “OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT?” It soon becomes pounding as I hear a female screaming in dutch. I start to scramble for the kitchen to grab something to defend myself before running back to my room.
