but it's weird that Maya fantasize about him, maybe she over thought it and kept on remembering him, so that could be why he is in Maya's daydreams.
I think he said see you later because it was the polite thing to say after watching someone spill that much spaghetti over themselves. And he started the conversation cause he had never met another Death Grips fan. Epke seems like a normalnigger and can probably do better (from his perspective) than a weird greasy haired girl on the bus who might already be in an open relationship.

I don’t think Maya would try talking to Epke again after the bus without some huge character development, but I think he is one of her imaginary friends because he is definitive proof to her that there are people around that have similar interests. So it lingers in her head, that if she just tried talking to people and reaching out more she could actually make a friend. That knowledge probably makes her miserable because now on top of feeling lonely she feels guilty knowing she is at least partly to blame for it, and she still feels incapable of doing the reaching out that would be needed, making her feel even more guilty.

Yeah I agree I just didn’t want to say it would be totally impossible for Maya to ever try talking to Epke again, but he would obviously not play a role in Maya’s struggle to deal with her anxiety. Any development in this regard would need to be about Maya’s personal inner growth and how her sisters affect or ideally, help her during. And yeah the Mayamails do a good job showing the extent of Maya’s guilt and self loathing. Unfortunately if Massa did continue it he would’ve just ruined it out of spite, so it’s up to us to keep the ‘lig alive.

Yeah it is hard trying to write Maya overcoming her problems in a convincing way, but I feel like that’s what makes a well written fic so compelling. but i think Massa handled Mayamail kinda poorly. having Maya say that Coco is "blackmailing her" i find to be kinda unrealistic. people of this mental state tend to do nothing but blame themselves for everything.

Well Maya definitely does resent Coco for being Ms. Perfect, and to some degree thinks Coco’s attempts at getting her to socialize are designed to humiliate her. Maya probably does blame mostly herself for her problems but she thinks Coco has never tried to actually help her and has at times made them worse by forcing her into things.
