The best thread on the sharty was a vocaroo thread from sometime just over 2 years ago. I really wished I archived it but I can still remember everything perfectly and I remember one of the last things posted in that thread was doll (he just bought the site at that point) singing my way and I made a shitty cover for it and cleaned up his vocals to match it to the music and uploaded it to the ru which I assume is still there. I really miss those days. The sense of calm of moving away from Kuz into a new era will never happen again and I suspect it's a end of a era in the internet in general. Basically imageboards are becoming a lot more mainstream and even more degens are flooding in. Before it was the weird autistic losers but at least there was always some sort of community but now it's all just larp. The other day I heard some kids saying something along the lines of "she's a larping foid" and it is a bit surreal hearing absolute complete normies saying shit that only the most retarded internet dwellers knew about. I can promise you that in the 2028 presidential cycle there will be a major influx into 4chan (which at that point would become even more liberally over moderated than it is now) like what happened in 2016 but this time it will be 13 year olds posting on TikTok how politically mature they are or whatever because they use pol you know what I haven't slept in a while and I have a fever so my blohpost is a bit retarded. But anyways Ive spent probably half my life on this side of the internet. Never used Twitter or TikTok or Instagram and still don't. But now the communities I once knew just feel watered down and I don't mean in the sense I just grew up. Like it's not even just imageboards but I remember maybe 6 years ago talking to people in the lainchan IRC and there was always a sense of warmth because everyone there wanted to be there rather than just scrolling on TikTok and finding a new community they join instantly. The sharty opened the flood gates of IRC a bit I think. I was in a thread once on 4cucks /g/ about whatever the fuck and I mentioned using IRC and the reply was something along the lines of "why would I want to use the sharty to talk to friends" and that was a while ago and I've since cut out 4chan because it really has just got worse and worse with time. Anyone who's worth my time has long since left even this side of the internet. I've gotten into some nice webrings and the difference in the quality of the people is extremely obvious. Some mailing lists are amazing as well. I had some super super weird problem with something and couldn't seem to get the solution to it literally anywhere but I knew some like 70 year old retired engineer from a webring and just sent some emails to him and he was more than happy to help out and I got it resolved. Ive asked much similar questions of stackexchanges or subreddits or even niche forums and they always give the fucking most niggered replies like I've wronged them. The entire front facing internet is so useless now my /etc/hosts file is just full of so many domains that just point to localhost because I don't even want to be able to go to them. Something I stand by is I believe being able to add sound to computers was the worse mistake ever. If computers were never able to easily output digital sound we would be living a hundred years in the future. There would be no mass slop media or easy to record videos and no normie would ever want to use it. We would have no iphone and never have to worry about 3rd world subhumans being able to access the internet on them. The internet would remain accessible just for the while man and be actually used for good. In the past year I have matured a lot after slowly leaving all these places and you see that anyone who's actually worth your time has also left. The most obvious indicator of the character of anyone you mean is got from just asking what social media they use. People doing important stuff don't have time to shitpost on imageboards or jerk off to anime tits or watch YouTube. Anyway I spent too much time writing this

It was always like this, but people used to be more self-conscious about this. Pepes and wojaks used to be sad and spending time on imageboards or forums (at least those that I used to frequent, YMMV) was considered substitute activity, if you had a life, you wouldn't spend that much time shitposting with lifeless losers. Oh Zaryan how I understand you, I mean we all know the entire world knows about soi kulcha by now, because other people are boring, imagineless void filling biomass. I've never seriously used social medias, they always felt like they sucked you in too much other than being exposed to faggots, literally and figurally. While being in class I oversaw someone watching IAS tiktok animations, you know the troony ones and I did die a bit on the inside, but it is what it is, I only care about what we do and what we accomplish, which has been nothing short of incredible in the little time we had for ourselves.
