The original soymy was a drawing of agugu, however the case can be made that it isn't a proper subvariant and became its own variant because soymys as we know them have little in common with the upstream variant agugu, which means that variant:soymy is a more appropriate term.

Soymy, subvariant or variant
In my download of the previous zooru and its tags subvariant:soymy was the convention for soymy tagging, however I do understand that it is a subvariant in name only. So if Zaryans think it should be changed to variant:soymy I'll switch it, let me know what you think.

on the off chance anyone misses my latest message on the booru and they're wondering why uploads from myself aren't coming through as usual, I'm pasting this here:

I've come to a hitch now in that my rate of uploading has finally lapped the output of all the file-sorting I did since some two months ago now. that, and the bulk of the larger archives I had access to have been more or less categorized with exception of some miscellaneous directories which I will have to resume working through (these all containing a far, far lower IAZ to NAZ ratio and thus taking more time to squeeze anything relevant from) with the scarce time available to me, which up until now I've been dedicating to uploading here each day. I'd still love to see the booru reach Funny Hitler Number + 0 by the end of the year, but for at least a time you can expect uploads to become less frequent and more erratic as I try to expand to other sources and update on my existing ones. my work schedule will become less intense at the coming close of the season, so that will help somewhat as well.
there's also still the matter of animations and videos. Zalt, if possible, a bulk upload as was spoken about, at least of the animated images and videos posted, either the thread or sent to my email would be of great help as I get the hang of efficiently processing these duplicates–video files especially can inflate the total size of the booru if doubled, and they also take longer to analyze for any unwanted embedded content.
even if I do reach the end of my massed collection here at some point, this isn't quite 'retirement', as tagging and sourcing still has yet to even start in earnest. until you next see me on the log, cheers.
