why do you like 'zellig? what about it appeals to you?

I like 'zellig because Maya is a very relatable character for me because I struggle a lot with social anxiety and I have a touch of the 'tism as well

I used to like it, but now every week I lose interest

Mymy is literally me if I were a 16 year old Japanese-Dutch girl.

In all seriousness, something about Zellig really struck me in a way no other piece of media had in a long time. The first half of 2024 was rough for me and discovering this show made me feel a certain type of childlike happiness that I hadn’t felt in years. I’m not nearly as obsessed with the show as much as I was this last summer, but I will truly never forget Ongezellig.

Why does this post sound like an exercise from english student book for estonian children

 No.47101

Zellig manages to very well convey a set of emotions and experiences through Maya. What stuck with me most is that Maya has the opportunity to be more social, but she fails to see or utilise it due to her own faults. It gave me hope because I was reminded that I am not all-knowing and I can be wrong when assessing the helplessness of my situation.
In a world where media no longer wants to say or express anything (or at least nothing I care about), it stands out from other animations and stories.
It's also very funny.

I liked the dynamics between the characters, gave me Eddsworld vibes. Too bad this show didn’t get anywhere.

i was interested in dutch culture way before watching the show so i instantly liked it because it was dutch

ongezellig was BVILT to be SNCA because it is in a language no one knows. literally built to be an obscure video in the remote corner of the internet with like 20k views. i think 'teens obsessing over this random ass piece of media and somehow making it this popular is a holy gem in itself

I think the girls have a good dynamic, their characters are well fleshed-out and solidly archetypical and they easily bounce off of each other. The setting is refreshingly unique and provides a good environment for driving the story.

Also I want to impregnate Maya

In fact, a lot of the would to be Zaryans, got interested in it because of the community first and the show second. The past Zaryans were a blessing to anyone enjoying the show today

Maya is me during high school, I even have my favorite jacket like her, love to talk with my imaginary friends. She’s just too relatable to be true.

it was the one indie animation that provoked actual thought and didnt exist solely to validate faggots and their fantasies. I liked that it highlighted some big modern youth social issues in a non-obnoxious way, without glamorizing them (said faggots love to wear their issues as a badge to cope rather than improve)

I think I was left speechless by the end of Deel 5, and when Deel 6 came along it wrapped it up perfectly. Then months later the Feb 6th announcement, which ironically killed every possibility of Maya ever getting better. Mostly because her problem is an unsolvable one, which is a bittersweet but truthful ending to this social issue

yeah I really liked how instead of "socially awkward girl gets help" it showed what goes on in the head of someone with extreme social anxiety in their daily lives, and as someone who relates to that I thought it was very realistic

 No.47166

i kept seeing mymy in memes
eventually i googled who she was and found this show
i liked the non-cringey humour and the characters
i could relate a bit to every archetype
i was also desperate to find a fandom to stick to
so finding zellig was very fortunate
that's that

Snopes and fact checkers find this post to be TRVE

 No.47981

It’s just simple, a nice little show you can sit down and watch for a half n hour every once in a blue moon and appreciate it every time. I was put off for a while cause, “soyculture”, but one day I watched it and I thought to myself it’s actually zemmy and reminded me of webcomic shows I use to like back in 2012.
The main three are amazing, Maya is relatable, mymy is the shows rambunctious and wacky character that is equal to that of a looney toon and CoCo is the cozy anchor.

Soykulcha is what made it stand out albeit

 No.48138

I am a Maya lover
It really is just as simple as that :>
