>Q: This looks terrible.
>A: Of course. It's quite difficult to train people from literally 0 experience to competency in professional animation software used by Oscar-winning movies, all within a month. But that's the thing, I never promised the visuals would be good, only that I would and could personally guarantee everything else (writing, etc.) would be. OUC was going to be a black and white, 1 frame every 3 seconds, animatic before I decided to go down the path of full animation. Remember how Verbalase spent $50k for that animation? That video was 3 minutes long. I'm doing 3 hours of animation not just within a year but at significant personal expense, both fiscally and in regard to time and effort. I mean, I've clocked in just over 900 hours in the last 60 days. I haven't taken a single day off, and I've developed chronic sleep deprivation because of it (no, I'm not exaggerating, and yes, this is a call for help). That being said, don't worry. This is by no means the final product—not if I have anything to say about it, and I do.

her eyes change shape waaayyy too much and it's too fluid
studio massa's animation is like 12 fps and the characters hardly move, like in japanese anime
and also massa is able to give the characters expression without exaggerating their facial features
if you're serious about the massa style thing, you should zelligmaxx, and if you aren't, then no one's gonna watch that verbalase tier shit and the sub-10k view count should tell you that
i'd say its a 2/10 for trying

>>26224Why would I double down on something if it's shitty? I don't understand people how do that. The point of this is to make something good, revisions are an important, healthy and necessary part of the process. It's impossible to get anything right the first time. That's why I go out of my way to solicit feedback from as many voices as possible. It's not an easy journey but it'll have been worth it in the end.

>>26329Jesus Christ, that thread contained some of the most pessimistic and joyless people I have seen this week. They are attempting to tear down what is practically just some storyboarding with some early animation released as a simple update, scrutinizing it to the level that one would for a completed work. It simply baffles me how people can be this negative about this, do they not understand that this is not the final product? It's like they're screaming at the foundations of a house because it has no furniture.
To answer your question, how did the Quack react to this? He got back to work while noting down and acting upon the genuine concerns and suggestions of people that weren't just there to scream at a framework.
No.26345
>>26335>how people can be this negative about this,Because you don't have to be a psychic to know that the whole entire thing will look like this mess upon release. If that wasn't the case, you would scrap what you got and start over, not fucking publish it on Youtube surrounded by walls of text stating the finished product will never ever ever never look this bad its just a placeholder i promise. If you want to keep Ongezellig alive then you should spam Massa's inbox with this until he himself reaches out to you and personally tells you to stop.

>>26335These people are insufferable. You can't do shit unless it will 100% match their idea of a perfect episode, which is impossible if only for the fact that there is no agreement on how one should look like.
No.26354
>>26345Your argument hinges on exactly what I discussed, screaming at a framework. The reason the Quack released this was because it would instill a lot more hope and confidence than any block of text on a forum could. I completely understand your concerns, however if it somehow does end up looking like this upon release, then we move on and hinge our hopes upon Project ROY. What we shouldn't do is complain (not to be confused with giving valid criticism, as other people in this thread have done) on a forum or appeal to Massa, someone who has abandoned us and therefore should not be of any concern.
