Ongezellig has music.
Massa uses a DAW (digital audio workstation) for music making.
Massa used FL Studio, a DAW, to make zellig's music.
<REDDIT SPACE
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nj-a6mtLuWhhUCrbB9XktQE5DErR4RtMGtx0h4LPzE0/edit?usp=sharing
This Google Sheets is here to document the sounds and instruments used in zellig's soundtrack.
And this thread is here for me to sperg and post findings since I'm sure it'd interest at least one of you to know what was used to make the music and audio of Ongezellig. So here it is.
I'll also probably post any project files for anyone who's interested in my recreations or wants to pitch in and post anything you might find interesting about zellig's sounds.
<REDDIT SPACE
Some things of note:
>Massa seems to mostly use pre-built/default presets that came with FL Studio or whatever 3rd Party plugin he may happen to use. So that's something to keep in mind when looking for 'lig instruments.
>From the few 3rd Party plugins we do know he uses (Sonatina Orchestra, Synth1, M-Box), they all seem to be hosted on "PLUGINS 4 FREE" (https://plugins4free.com/) when searching them up. So it may be possible that's where Massa got most of his music plugins from.
As a bonus, here's a download link to all of Ongezellig's songs transcribed and turned into midis: https://files.catbox.moe/1tqko2.zip (If you happen to get a warning that this folder is full of computer viruses, it's not. Your computer is giving you a false flag, it's all midi files. And if you don't trust me: https://www.virustotal.com)
They're not perfect, but it should be a decent start to anyone who wants to mess around with making covers/remixes/recreations of them.

I'll start off by reposting this image Massa sent to PinoyGOD of all of his plugins he's used for the full version of Ik Ben, along with a second one detailing which plugins and samples are which.

 No.1403

As well, I'll repost what I wrote on /co/ that I found interesting when looking at the metadata of the audio files from the paypiggy pack:
If you open up zellig's music files in Audacity and go to 'Edit > Metadata' you will actually see which version of FL that song's track was made in.
Why is this of interest? Because some tracks are labelled as being made in "FL Studio 12" and "FL Studio 20," meaning we can actually put together a very rough timeline of which tracks were made before each other (FL 12 came before FL 20 just to be clear).
Here are the tracks in order of appearance in the show with the version of FL they were assigned to:
>BokuNoSenpaiNieuw: FL 20
>Hardcore2: FL 12
>CocoAccordeon: FL 12
>Coco: FL 12
>ButTheniThought: FL 12
>ImStuck…: FL 12
>Passport photo_s2: FL 12
>Passport photo_s1: FL 12
>Imagine: FL 20
>Mymy: FL 12
>Je t_aime: FL 20
>Japanese CampForTheSoul: FL 12
>NothingPersonal: FL 12
>Angel chorus: FL 12
>ThisYear: FL 12
>Hardcore3: FL 12
>Coco8Bit: FL 12
>Credits: FL 12
>Nu uh!: FL 20
>Schoolocaust: FL 20
>MoonlightSonata: FL 20
>Mollusk love: FL 20
>IkHetMaar (Jazz): FL 20
>MayaIsAngry: FL 20
>JustImagineReprise: FL 20
>GoingHome: FL 20
>Interrogation: FL 20
>GoodmorningMaya: FL 20
>HackerChick: FL 20
>MayaErgerJeNiet: FL 20

>Ouverture: FL 20
>IkBenHetMaar (Complete): ???
>IkBenHetMaar (Shortened): FL 12
>IkBenHetMaar (Music Box): FL 20

Bonus Tracks:

 No.1404

Some things of note:
>BokuNoSenpaiNieuw uses FL 20 whereas BokuNoSenpaiOud uses FL 12. This makes sense since Oud was used back when Deel 1 first came out and was a standalone part before getting refined and paired up with Deel 2 with "Nieuw" taking its place.
>But if you look at the other tracks for Deel 1, you'll see that Imagine and Je t_aime were made with FL 20 and not FL 12 like the rest of them. My only reasoning for why this could be is that Massa might've had to reexport them using his updated version of FL 20, for some reason.
>If you look at the IkBenHetMaar tracks, you'll see that the Shortened version uses FL 12 while the Instrumental is using FL 20. Again, Massa most likely had to reexport the shortened version without the vocals using his latest FL version rather than having one on hand when he first made it. But you'll see that the Completed version of IkBen is in "???". That's because the version of FL literally does not show up in the metadata for this track at all. I don't know why this is unless Massa deleted any mention of "FL Studio" in the metadata in something like Audacity when reexporting it or exporting it with as little metadata as possible. Why he would do this for the only track out of the other 48 files? I have no goddamn clue.

>>1404
>SchoolocaustAlt uses FL 12 while Schoolocaust uses FL 20, meaning that the Alt version was possibly an early version of Schoolocaust and Massa just repurposed it as an "alternative" version.

Is any of this important or of significance? Maybe, maybe not, but I figured I'd post about it since it gives us an interesting look into the history of certain zellig tracks that could of use for later.
TL;DR 'lig music tracks use different FL Studio versions (but most of them after Deel 1 use FL 20 than FL 12)

Made a couple of recreations of the soundtrack, mostly the short, simple tunes and not any of the longer ones yet.
They probably require some editing still to be more accurate, but I'm alright with posting these for now (Mymy is pretty much perfect imo).
Keep in mind some .FLPs might be using FL 21 or FL 20.8 since I worked on some early tracks using FL 21 64-bit when I should've used 20.8 as that was the last version of FL to use 32-bit (which is what a lot of 3rd-Party plugins are for the music). Keep that in mind if you're having version issues with FL.

I should also mention a couple of the tools I've used to help assist me when recreating these songs:

vocalremover.org has been great with separating bass, drums, and music. No login required (tho depending on how many times you've used it, they may rate limit your use for that day based on your IP): https://vocalremover.org/splitter-ai
———————————————————
I have this .FLP template that can help you remove instruments from a song if you have the right instrument preset to use (or one that sounds fairly close enough): soyjak.download/f.php?h=0sbjadf-&d=1
(You will also need this plugin for it to work: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/kn0ck0ut-by-st3pan0va)

Basically you want to move your base audio (the original music) into Mixer Track 3 (the blue colored bar in the mixer rack) and the audio you want removed from the original music into Mixer Track 2 (the red colored one). Layer them both under each other if you have them as audio files and hit spacebar to hear it play out, the instrument that you want removed should be mostly gone if everything goes well. You might want to boost the volume a bit with something like Fruity Limiter on the Master track since the output signal is quieter than going in for some reason (it'll also be a bit delayed if you plan on exporting it as an audio file as well, so keep that in mind).

Ideally you'd probably want to use Phase Cancellation instead (if you can) as that'll output a much cleaner track with the instrument of choice removed. Plus it's a good way of determining if your instrument sounds pretty close to what it originally sounds like in Zellig's music. You won't be able to do this with every instrument (namely some synths) but with some of the stock acoustic instruments like drums and guitars have been pretty easy to cancel with. More information on what is Phase Cancelling here: https://youtu.be/8hVtDMFZj3Q?t=54

Ultimate Vocal Remover has been great for isolating vocals and separating reverb and delay on tracks: https://ultimatevocalremover.com/ (Enter this GUI VIP key in the settings menu to unlock more models to use: 02aeb35c203ed0a9)

This Google Document details the current best AI tools used for instrument separation and what have you. Pretty useful and informative (warning: it's fucking loooooooong): https://docs.google.com/document/d/17fjNvJzj8ZGSer7c7OFe_CNfUKbAxEh_OBv94ZdRG5c/edit#heading=h.roiuj54hzww3
———————————————————
CenterCutGUI is great for splitting the sides and center of an audio file, great for determining where certain instruments are placed without the center or sides getting in the way of hearing: http://www.moitah.net/download/latest/Center_Cut_GUI.zip

Special shoutout to Fruity Stereo Shaper for helping with isolating either the left or right channel in a audio signal, as well as Wave Candy and SPAN for analyzing the frequencies and spectrogram of oncoming audio; good for determining the timbre, volume, frequencies boosts and cuts of an instrument as well as any effects like reverb that are easier to see. Just a quick note (setting this as a reminder to myself and others), GoodmorningMaya and PietHein most likely use the "Grand Piano" instrument for DirectWave and NOT "Grand Piano" for FL Keys.
Despite sounding practically identical, the way the piano sounds in DW actually works a bit differently as the softer you hit a note on there, the more subdued the timbre of the key will sound. Whereas for FL Keys if you hit a note more quietly it just pulls down the volume instead of pulling down the highend along with it.

Haven't tested it myself yet which is why I'm keeping this as a reminder.
