/zellig/ - Ongezellig

Hi Zaryans. Lidly here, namedropping for the last time with a SNCA post (+ a Mymy drawing so that it's not NAZ). Since I will stop creating content for Ongezellig for the time being, that probably also marks the end of my involvement with this place, at least for now. It didn't feel right to leave without also formally saying goodbye to this controversial space that undeniably also played a big role in my past projects. Despite the fact that I don't see eye to eye with probably the majority of people on here and the general culture of this board, I don't regret my (indirect) involvement with it. Ignoring the ancient rape threats, marriage proposals and the fact one of my crashouts was made into a copypasta, I am grateful for the support and feedback (You) all have given me. I am grateful for the few people from here that first reached out to me on Twitter and helped me understand more about the innerworkings of this place and taught me that things aren't as black & white as they're often made out to be. I don't think (most of you, at least, those who belong here and don't LARP to make you guys look like a bunch of goonbrained pedos) are bad people, even if I do disagree with a lot of things you do. That is fine. I know you guys care about keeping the community safe from pedos and creeps and oddly enough it made me feel safe to see how much you guys hated the people that generated NSFW AI images of me and others.

I had a lot of fun messing around with you guys indirectly by putting references to the Zarty in my first comic. Despite the fact that people tried to steer me away from this place, I don't regret trying to find the good in (almost) every place. It was something I had never experienced before and it will definitely remain a core memory.
