If I did a sequel to Ongezellig, I would base it off of the Maya mail documents and the unused episodes, call it “Maya’s Mail,” and have it be documentary style show like The Office where the interview sections are from Maya where she recite the diary logs. At the end of the season, it would be revealed that Maya’s imaginary friends were the ones recording the interview sections and that she had been talking to herself all along.
One episode idea could be the Anne Frank musical episode and it could relate to that diary entry where Maya calls Anne Frank a “beta.” Maybe the project spirals into the class having to do a Musical and maya using this as an opportunity to become an actor and get acting friends from it.
Of course, there will be some changes to fit with Ongezellig episode 1 deels 1-6, however, I think these would be great changes overall.

i don't think this would work doe as maya obviously is deeply antisocial and anxious and she would NEVER voluntarily act in, let alone use it as an opportunity to go and make friends with fucking theatre kids
