but that defeats the purpose of a stroopwafel.
you're supposed to rest it over a warm, steamy drink to let it heat the waffle and so that the beverage stays heated longer; to eat a cold waffle is to be a cold, soulless automaton with no tact, taste or emotion. it would be as if you were to eat raw loaves of toast.
