Yeah, my ideas are mostly about characters either playing instruments or listening to music, but I think as long as something musical is a central focus of the piece, it is in bounds. Concerts, music classes, record shop, being in bands, etc. all feels relevant. I know the theme is kind of broad, but I wanted to leave room in the theme choices for everybody to have their own take on it, after how many of September’s choices were very narrow.

This is not supposed to be just for drawGODs, any and all creative inputs related to the theme are encouraged and appreciated, but so far it’s all drawings, except for mayaGOD’s Ik ben het maar that he sang last month and sent in cause it’s music. If you like doing any other creative stuff you can relate to the theme that would be awesome (maybe ambitious, but personally I would love to see a short story at some point). Also during September someone used Scratch to make a ton of great church related drawings that didn’t involve a lot of technique. I know it’s said all the time, but it really is about soul, and I say this too much, but the more contributions the better, even if they aren’t “good”.

This month’s official theme is: ONGEZELLIG MOVIE SCENES.
The focus of this theme is to recreate, reference, or reimagine moments from films with Zellig characters.
Something I want to reiterate is that this project isn’t just for drawGODs to pick up a new assignment, the more creative responses to the theme the better, no matter what they are.
There have been great contributions so far, and I hope we can get more this month. I ask all of you to make something, for us to work together as a community, if you don’t think you can draw, try something else! Because truly, the more the better.
Paint, trace, generate, create a song or a soundscape, flash animation, make a stick figure comic, write a story, anything you want.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved in xer own way, happy November!
