I'll miss soy culture so much, at least we still have our gemeralds
I read on a random soybooru post from a kiwifarmer how Froot nuked the soysphere and that the people using it are currently zombies with oldfag dysphoria, while Ongezellig (us) survived in a bunker and he was praising how we went above and beyond with our passion. And we always said that we wouldn't let it happen to the sharty, because not to us, it couldn't happen to us!

yeah, right now it does feel like the newfags are just attempting to imitate soyculture, but have 0 understanding of it. Perhaps as an attempt of reliving the old sharty, because they missed out. This can also be seen here, where people are too attached to the pilot for them to be able to expand the culture. There's just a very weird concept of infallible strict canons of what is "sharty/zarty/whateverarty culture" that started to take off during Doll.

no imageboard is immune to this (even the zarty). Its just that they way these types of site are structured, they cannot provide long term stability to a community, especially now. Its too easy to manipulate the crowd (it only takes a few individuals to act as a big majority) or to replace it (no way to control mass migrations or to notice them in time). 4chan is the logical conclusion of such sites, where it ends up being a massive psyop.

I just dont see a solution to the current problems for now.

That's where the role of moderation is essential. With something like the Zarty, it's not just an anonymous forum, it's a community with a well defined set of values, and the moderation is here to protect the core Zaryan population from hostiles and subversives to preserve these core values.

Moderation can do so much. Its basically a handicapped position of power (some core concepts of "ib anonymity" do more harm than good to the moderation capabilities AND the anonymity of the users ironically) that needs to do CIA levels of tracking sometimes (basically they need to be autistic and live on the zarty 24/7) for 0.00 zimbabwean dollars per hour (all they get is a middle finger sometimes). Not that you dont have to deal with bs on non IB sites, but here it can get too retarded sometimes.

The core zaryan population has already been mostly replaced and the current site is different from what it was back in 2023 demographic wise (a ship of theseus, the difference being that the crew and passengers has been replaced, not the parts of the ship). The second booru drama is a good example of "core value" change.

Also the mods are not immune to replacement. People come and go there as well (if they think that the userbase is no longer relatable, they go). And the administration is reliant on the current userbase for potential candidates. The admin himself can decide that he had enough and his options are either to shut down the site (which means anybody can make a spiritual successor) or give it to anybody who is willing to pay money for the servers (which isnt that different from the first option, it just means that the admin can pick the "best option out there", so basically yet another russian roulette).

Of course things undergo change and evoluton, otherwise it would be stagnant, my point was more leaning to protection from actively hostile subversives specifically, which our moderation has dealt well with, whereas the sharty has more issues with them for example. I should have made my sentence more clear.
