>>18195Moderation can do so much. Its basically a handicapped position of power (some core concepts of "ib anonymity" do more harm than good to the moderation capabilities AND the anonymity of the users ironically) that needs to do CIA levels of tracking sometimes (basically they need to be autistic and live on the zarty 24/7) for 0.00 zimbabwean dollars per hour (all they get is a middle finger sometimes). Not that you dont have to deal with bs on non IB sites, but here it can get too retarded sometimes.
The core zaryan population has already been mostly replaced and the current site is different from what it was back in 2023 demographic wise (a ship of theseus, the difference being that the crew and passengers has been replaced, not the parts of the ship). The second booru drama is a good example of "core value" change.
Also the mods are not immune to replacement. People come and go there as well (if they think that the userbase is no longer relatable, they go). And the administration is reliant on the current userbase for potential candidates. The admin himself can decide that he had enough and his options are either to shut down the site (which means anybody can make a spiritual successor) or give it to anybody who is willing to pay money for the servers (which isnt that different from the first option, it just means that the admin can pick the "best option out there", so basically yet another russian roulette).
