uh yeah... let's just say, you don't upload a video, you upload an audio, and you make a thrembillion images that your custom video player then plays while trying to sync the audio, it's painful, and incredibly tedious to do, but i didn't have much better to do, i want to finish the last two deels eventually. basically, i had to reinvent video players as a whole for it, definitely not a smart thing to waste your time on, but is definitely a proof of concept.

i was making the sheets of images that it would go through on per minute basis thing and in total it weighs over 1.2gigs (just images (though i guess you can remove about half since there's just the raw frames, and sheets made up of these frames)) basically i would make a 1 minute clip of a part of the deel, run it through a frame extractor, and then would use those frames to make the sheets that would be used to make it all work, one sheet has 15 images or frames i suppose, the script makes it go through 12.5 frames per second (half of the original framerate, usually watchable unless some sudden movement happens) while trying to keep the audio in sync, the audio is actually slightly sped up to bypass obsessed 'blox moderation, at first it was more sped up and the quality of the audio was worse, but i then finally bypassed a higher quality (less sped up audio) that would then be slowed down slighty to to make it sound like the original (a bit quality is still lost though since when it was sped up and exported, uploaded and so on some quality was lost along the way, and hence was much more noticable before with a more sped up audio) before it was i think 200 or 250% speed, that i managed to go to just 150% letting a lot more information get through, making it higher quality in audio. it's a lot of nerdy shit, and it's still just the tip of the iceberg, doubt anyone cares enough. all in all, i'd estime it to take about an hour or so to port over 1 minute of a video to 'blox, if you are doing it at a framerate of 12.5 and at a terrible quality that is. about an hour as in everything, making the audio doesn't take that long actually, can be done by essentially multi tasking if you want to. i think i made the whole system that plays it etc in about maybe 6 hours i would say? system as in the raw gui, scripts and so on that you could then feed those image ids to go through and the audio. i never actually recorded how long any of it took, all of this is mostly assumptions. as terrible as it sounds, it got me to really get to see essentially every 2nd frame of the thing, allowing me to appreciate the thing for what it truly is, it's not like just going through them, or watching them, you actually take them, put them into photoshop/other image editing software to make those sheets, you get to really appreciate the beauty of it, the care that massa has put into it... just to shut it all down, here's one of my most favorite frames i have found while making the 3rd deel, i sometimes look at it just... thinking about maya, i love her a lot. oh and have a typical sheet of frames that i would make.
