blud didnt even last 3 whole months 🥀🥀

Can you make a revival of it by next month or smth?
No.5349
>>5337It depends. The dev is working on it, but he does this for free and also has real life responsibilities. I am trying to learn a bit more coding to help him out as well. I cannot say any date as to when will the site reopen.
Why do you ask?

No.5410
>>5406Yes, a lot of people complained about MyBB. I only tried to give it a chance because its one of the few free options for bulletin boards. At the end, people wont use a convoluted alternative when there are better options out there. This was the number one problem.
The dev's idea of building the site from scratch is fascinating. It really opens up the doors for how the site will look/function. And it is an opportunity to learn more about coding (thats on my part).
I was thinking of making a parody film advertising the club. The second problem (which was also caused mainly by the first) is that we were a bit too short when it came to manpower. At max we had 30 people registered (maybe a bit more), but a lot were inactive or mainly lurked. Of course, if I advertised the site in its previous form, i dont think that it would have made much of a difference (most people woudnt want to deal with mybb). So this is a step two of our reopening plan.

How's the progress been for the development of the software after a month?
No.5853
Any updates on this? Screenshots? Dev commentary? Anything? I'm getting tired of using xitter as an artdump, if this turns into another nothingburger…
No.5858
>>5853there's only two things to deal with before it could be released, but the basic site is pretty much done from what i know.
idk if the dev wishes for me to share screenshots, but it looks similar to vichan (if it was a BB instead of an IB).
i dont know how much more time it will take before its done, but the dev's working hard.

>>5858Sounds intriguing, can't wait any longer, I have some stuff I want to post in there
Then let's wait a little more
No.5861
>>5853There isn't anything spectacular regarding screenshots yet, for now it looks like every other imageboard, which is kind of expected given that it's purpose is also to work as a replacement for vichan, which everyone talks about but seemingly no one except me works on. I think it already solves the most important problems of both websites in terms of lacking features, performance, and resource usage. For instance, since the new software has file deduplication and never saves the same file twice, the entirety of zarty takes only 23GB, half of the current usage. Also not having to maintain two completely different legacy PHP codebases means I will be able to add whatever features will be needed much faster.
The screenshots are from today's test, it managed to reach 90k PPH on a VM with a single core and 1GB of RAM, which means it will be really cheap to run and that none of the bot spam or ddos methods that were employed against the zarty will work against it, in case of spam it just keeps responding but slower and the moderation panel is usable, which isn't the case when using vichan. As a bonus, it works with JS blocked, including image resizing and the reply box, there is some JS for stuff like relative post times (and moving the reply box around), but it's completely optional. Now I'm working on captcha, also JS-free. You that you will have only one chance to click it correctly because of that fact, so you will definitely enjoy it.

>>6215If you're asking which one to implement to the site, then I'll tell you this after messing around a little, do note this is from a mobilecaca view so both options are horrible
<TEGAKIIt's interface is horrible for phonefags even when properly implemented, I have to enable auto rotate just so I can actually draw, and the worst part is that moving the canvas is impossible so I'm limited to what I can do
<JspaintIt's bearable, a little slower when tracing and using pencils due to how it works, and zooming in/out is doable, there's also more usable options and doesn't look as shit on phone, however it has a very limited color palette and undoing mistakes requires some extra clicks, not the best but is actually better while being simple
<Complaining space Here's what I could do on both cases given how limited everything is, and jspaint has the win here though I'm still not satisfied with the results
<Complaining spaceBoth options suck for phoneniggers
