Well, no shit, honestly this can either go two ways, since it's setting up itself to lull the average zelligposter into thinking Maya would have stayed the exact same (otherwise Maya would be shown immediately and this isn't the case).
So either Maya is actually a normal person now but still holds resentment for her sisters, or she's still a sad sack of truecelshalalal who completely altered her appearance and went down the rabbit hole of loneliness. Either way we won't see "Maya" in this comic.
