HL2 now has Workshop and there are classical gems on the 'hop. There's the original Stanley Parable and Resident Evil 2 Source.

Gemerald is a HL1 mod.
At one point there were talks of making a Gemerald 2 mod for HL2, but it never came anywhere. Perhaps the most one could do is port the original to Source.
