Almost every single website runs on a linux server. It is more secure and offers greater control over the computer with much more customization as well as not being spyware.
The direction windows is going in focusing on integrated AI and more cloud focused stuff is a large concern for privacy and autonomy, a reason why many people choose to switch to linux.

If this is your first time using Linux I highly recommend to just unplug your windows drive and mess around with Linux for a week. Again, debain + xfce has been my daily driver since forever and I have no issues even with a Nvidia GPU.

I use debian 13, and yes I do use KDE. I have previous experience with linux using wsl for when I needed that funtionality, i am more than familiar with the terminal and system. This is however my first time using linux as my main desktop. So far I am really enjoying it. One thing I appreciate is how customizable the appearance is, it just looks good.

I've had problem with support for debian 13 so I'm sticking to 12 for a while. Also KDE is known for being a piece of shit mostly because of bloat and Wayland. I highly recommend using something based of X11. The only downside is the screen tearing but you get used to it. The only desktop environments/window managers I've used in maybe the past 3 years is xfce and DWM
