Americans have cultural food?

In the 1920s America realized its food culture was weak and unactualized so they went about making and creating census on what would be American dishes, which consisted of whatever European immigrants & descendants continued to eat or making new dishes that would be main courses like some analog to Sunday roast. The Depression happening forced everyone to make due with simple food like ham and cheese sandwiches or onions stuffed with peanut butter. After WW2 big aggro put out cookbooks so people would buy all food groups from their company to make some disgusting retarded bullshit like Heinz' baked bean gelatin or some other garbage. After that fad died down Americans just winded back to eating simple poverty food or buying fast food.
