i had a waffle for the first time today and it was not crunchy. i always thought it was crunchy from the way it looked. why did no one ever tell me this?

They can be crunchy if they're overcooked, or if you want one of those waffle cones

Are you eating a stroopwafel or a plain waffle.

Mymy eats Stroopwaffels, which are much thinner than regular American waffles. Syrup is applied on them before cooking which makes them crunchier. And Mymy probably buys them from her regular Grocery Store so they get even more crunchier while sitting on market shelves

plain waffle
>>2121
yea ik but i thought regular waffles were cruchy too. they look übercrunchy but they're not.

No stroopwafel i've ever eaten has been really crunchy. They're crunchier than regular waffles but they're still sort of chewy. But I dip mine in coffee so that also probably has an effect.
