Yeah, like right now it's sweltering in October. I talked to my family about it, and they said it was an "Indian Summer". And I would be the one to say that Southern Missouri=Northern Arkansas. This is due to the fact that it shares more with Ozark culture, and the central/north of Missouri shares more with the stereotypical Midwest.

Lots of people boast about having indian blood in them, which I always found odd due to the likelihood of their ancestors just being raped by Injuns. I was looking into moving somewhere else, doe. While I love Arkansas and all, I want to branch out to the Midwest more. Something like Kansas or Nebraska, maybe Oklahoma. It's the tornadoes that bother me, though.

I always found hillbilly speak to be endearing, albeit you seldom hear it anymore, only from old folks and people who actually live in the sticks. I moved here in 2008 (I lived in TX for a while, great state, but total spic/niggerhell) and I've been told I've gained a bit of a twang, but it rarely comes out. It's terrible to me that things like speech patterns are being lost, and youth nowadays all speak like niggers in Ebonics. I doubt it will ever come back; people are just so used to the "default voice" (where it sounds as though you have no accent). It's not just the South, either; it's across America.
