hopefully sooner rather than later youre going to experience having to deal with truly mentally ill people and youre going to see how they would happily lie and take advantage of you at every opportunity with zero guilt conscious. i was unlucky enough to experience it with my own extended family and their mentally ill ways but the closer you look at the people around you the more you find out how awful the average person is. i completely understand that youre a typical autist and never gotten into any real trouble and was never a truly bad person and that makes you think the average person can also act like you but i promise you thats not how the real world works.
i remember arguing with a friend, whos a upper class educated autist, because he believes that the average person has a deep rooted love for art somewhere inside them, and most just havent found it while in reality the average person would burn a masterpiece painting just to stay warm for 5 minutes
bad people are bad. if they wanted to change they know how to change on their own. you shouldnt try and offer your hand to bad people. the average person is probably worse than you expect so never expect much
