>>21241 truth be told, the reason we know of those cultural elements is because the Church preserved it. it's common for celebrations to be baptized into Christianity. nothing wrong about that, it's a nation's heritage, with the false gods being replaced with Christ, the Theotokos and saintly people. it's the ultimate slap in the face to old idols, and it's preserving history at the same time. the thing you say about culture is a mostly protestant thing, they're very disconnected from actual historic (since the apostles even) practices. and about spirituality... you've got loads of books debating it, of course
