One sunny day, Agugu the orange Dutch baby was crawling around in the garden, as she did every day with her Mum and her two siblings, Mayagugu and Cocogugu. Agugu suddenly stopped. She could smell something so nice, she wanted to go find it. So she turned away from Mummy and her siblings Mayagugu and Cocogugu... Mayagugu noticed that her sister was going away, and thought that Agugu might get lost. Mayagugu got scared, and started crying, but she cried so silently that no one else noticed. Agugu started following her nose. She went past the big blue house filled with funny bearded men... Past the four-leaf clover where the old dog slept... Past the cow field, with Bob the tiny cow munching fresh grass... Past the lake with the laughing frogs... Past the yellow swinging gate... "Oh no!" Agugu thought, "I'm lost! And the smell has gone!" Then she remembered what her teacher told her once. "Japsterdam... Where is this Japsterdam?" "So where have I been?" Agugu said aloud. Past the yellow swinging gate... Past the lake with the laughing frogs... Past the cow field, with Bob the tiny cow munching fresh grass... Past the four-leaf clover where the old dog slept... Past the big blue house filled with funny bearded men... "Yay, I'm home!" Agugu thought. She saw Mummy in the garden with her two sisters. And that smell was back! Behind Mummy was a batch of stroopwafels! Mummy was preparing a picnic. "This whole time the smell was coming from here!" Agugu laughed. Mummy and Mayagugu and Cocogugu laughed too! And they all ate those yummy stroopwafels. The End
