those “odds” were just “some people didn’t like us”. the worst thing we faced was that some Sharty jannies deleted Ongezellig threads and banned the posters, that’s about all. as >>77407 explains, any living community has odds they have to overcome and our odds are not special in any way. if you want an example of a community surviving against seemingly impossible odds, look at Kiwi Farms.

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=before%3A2024+ongezellig as you can see, there were already plenty of people posting Ongezellig content before the Zarty (i know the Zarty was created in 2023 but it was still less than four months old by the end of the year). you also neglect the fact that the “zarty related” creators were probably not avid Zarty posters, but normies who were simply aware of it and paying lip service to it. Ongezellig is a small fanbase so it makes sense that every sector is aware of each other.
