>>55620 You know, I do kind of get why a continuation of Ongezeillig seems impossible, because Ongezellig is mostly designed to focus on Maya. Maya is kind of the only character in the pilot who gets any depth added to her character, the rest are just kind of shallow like Mymy who's entire shtick is being the insane crazy Dutch ultranationalist for comic relief and Coco is supposed to be an extrovert and by being an extrovert she is the exact opposite of our asocialite protagonist. Even more, excluding Vera, 90% of the other characters who aren't those three are just background characters who don't even talk at all and are just supposed to be "friends" who are able to socialize, unlike Maya. It does seem it little like Massa designed it that way and it's also why he never was able to come with another episode. If the intention of the pilot was just to focus on Maya as a character, than it makes more sense as just a short film, an entire series wouldn't explain Maya any better than the pilot already did.
