>54214 Honestly speaking, ESL is originally a term to describe non-angloid westerners who usually knew English well enough but not as perfect as the native speakers. Most of those we call "ESL" know 2+ languages (except the germanic) and this makes the term meaningless. This also reminds me that graph I personally call "The Great Replacement: Internet User Edition" (picrel). Not that I'm proposing a new term, but still, it's quite paradoxical, you see. >>54215 Tautology isn't an indicator of being ESL, let's be fair. Native speakers also can be somewhat illiterate, although it's easy to distinguish illiteracy from ESLness.
