The greatest memes are pure vessels of virality without inherit meaning. Soyjaks are an excellent example of this. 'jaks have infinite possibility for flexibility and adaptation to suit different meanings.
The founding principle of soyjaks was to make fun of the nu-male, this rarely happens anymore, instead 'jaks have evolved into pure empty vessels able to take on any meaning. This is why they have stuck around for so long.
The same can happen for 'ligs. Their founding principle is Ongezellig and now that 'assa has confirmed that no new meaning will be attributed to Ongezellig 'ligs can too become empty vessels, pure form, thus suitable for a similar type of success as 'jaks. 'ligs will take on a meaning of their own, evolved from just purely the source material into an adaptable form that can fit any meaning.
