It is a noun that describes something(specifically the final stop of some vehicle, such as a train or a bus). Did the word "automobile" or "telephone" exist for medieval peasants? Obviously not. Yet those are real words. At a point in time they were "arbitrary and subjective", yet you do not dispute the existence of those.
