it makes sense, but i don't think that Massa has really come up with such a plot. We don't know about Maya's father that much (which is surprising, considering this is a show about girls, usually girls are really close with they fathers). So she could be mixed race (this may be bad, but i am an optimist and i say she is half white). Either that or Massa is yet again inconsistant/has made a mistake with his artstyle. Wont be the first time.
