children are only appealing to childish people, that's why third worlders and drug addicted white trash reproduce like rabbits. the power gap that exists in the parent-child relationship is perfect for narcissists who believe that their subjective values are impeccable and divine. children are essentially mentally disabled humans that you're allowed to mercilessly bully your values into while they don't have any right to say no to anything done to them. it's a relationship built entirely on coercion and aggression. if you saw adults forcefully dragging another adult to the beach while she cried and begged to be let go, you'd probably contact the authorities, but i'm supposed to believe the same thing is suddenly okay when it's done to a little girl instead? the most mind boggling part of all of this is that everyone remembers being a child, yet no one seems to have any sympathy for the plights of children. if you had an authority figure who had absolute control over you, had you to partake in their subjective cultural values, do chores without payment, and forced you to do all this through extortion (or worse, physical assault), you'd rightfully hate them, yet the same people who'd hate such an authority figure are perfectly fine doing the same thing to their children and expect their children to love them for it.

this is mostly about the treatment of children, not whether you should or shouldn't have them. i believe most of these problems can be solved simply by weakening child custody and not infringing on children's right to run away.
