Grim Mymy

Grim Mymy, or Grim, is the unofficial name for an artist on 4chan’s /co/ and /i/ who has gained a lot of notoriety due to his prolificacy and somewhat crude, instantly recognizable style. In the Ongezellig fandom he’s mostly known for his Ongezellig fan art, which is often more shocking than anything else other artists have mustered up. Grim has posted on the Zarty on at least two occasions. The first time was in November 2023, in which he, under the username “the guy who drew these”, showed gratitude towards Zaryans’ appreciation of his artwork and stated that he doesn’t have a name for himself[1]. The second time was in April 2024, when he posted a drawing of Mymy saying “I REALLY fucking hate gooners, faggots, troons, and a combination of all three.” Zoot confirmed that Grim had an influence on /v/, claiming that “the effect that shows up when you shoot your gun was 100% inspired by grim's artstyle”, although he denied Grim being the main inspiration behind the game as a whole[2].

Grim Mymy Collection Thread

On 3 December 2023, PinoyGOD created a thread dedicated to collecting Grim’s art[3]. The thread was one of the most prominent on /zellig/, but was controversial due to Grim often depicting peccant sexual scenarios, including Mymy sexually assaulting Mats (a character conceived by Cam) while he’s tied to a chair, Maya preying on and having sex with a child, Massa (who’s depicted as the Rollercoaster Tycoon sprite in his YouTube channel’s icon with a human body) having intercourse with the Ongezellig’s girls’ lifeless corpses, and various depictions of the girls masturbating. Despite the taboo nature of his drawings, the thread managed to stay up for over five months, until one day, when Zaryans believed Grim went too far.

On 16 April 2024, Grim posted sexual art of Maya’s voice actress, Robin Barten, on /co/. The three drawings depicted Robin and Maya engaging in mutual masturbation, passionately kissing, and having sex in the scissoring position. After this, a Zaryan made an entire thread complaining about it on /q/ and the thread got locked and moved to /chive/ the following day. Zaryans criticized the mods’ decision to lock the thread, but Zoot defended the choice, stating that the thread stretched the rules, had become too much of a nuisance, and that its original purpose had been fulfilled long ago anyway. After the lock, Zaryans moved to a previous thread created in November, being same one he previously posted in under the name “the guy who drew these,” in order to continue collecting his art.

Grim’s Art Becomes Forbidden

On 13 March 2025 a user repeatedly asked Grim to draw “fat baby Mymy” in a /co/ thread. Grim warned the user that if he asked again he’d draw porn of it, the user ignored this warning and made the same request. The following day, after the thread had reached its bump limit, Grim posted a nine panel comic of Massa raping and killing baby Mymy on /co/. A censored version of the comic was soon after reposted to the aforementioned Zarty thread. The comic shocked Zaryans and the thread was locked and sent to /chive/. A mod announced that anymore reposts of Grim’s art will result in a deletion and ban[4].
