Maya Schoppenboer (born September 21st, 2003, assuming the show takes place in 2019 and the girls are 16) is the protagonist of the Dutch animated web-series Ongezellig. She is voiced by Robin Barten and was designed and created by Studio Massa. Early interpretations of Maya appeared in comic strip Mayo en Curry. Maya is accompanied by two adoptive sisters Coco and Mymy, assuming that they’re all 16 years old during the events of the pilot, Maya would be the youngest of the three. She struggles with ADD (disputed as its validity isn't something confirmed in the show and evidence suggests that Maya only assumes that she has ADD) and social anxiety. She is more of an antihero, as she somehow fucks up everything she does. She is known to enjoy looking at squid rape hentai and 'cording.

Racial Background
Maya was born in North Brabant in the town of Baarle-Nassau, making her the only one of the 3 sisters to be born in the Netherlands, though is normally referred to as a Belgian by other characters, mainly Mymy. She is multiracial and is of Dutch, Chinese, Indonesian, and Indian origins[1].
Biography
Maya was born on September 21st 2003 in the North Brabant province of the Netherlands. She spent the first 4 or so years of her life with her father, mother and a cat which she loved.
Around the time she was 4, her parents decided to adopt two other sisters for unknown reasons. Those sisters were Mymy, from Japan and Coco, a white girl from South Africa. The latter of those two was allergic to cats, which forced the parents to get rid of it.
Personality
Maya is socially undeveloped and wracked with anxiety. She has difficulty interacting with others, especially those outside of her family. Despite being reclusive, she is shown to have a deep desire for connections and envies Coco’s sociability. She has an interest in several different forms of media, including music and video games. She self-inserts in The Sims 4 and watches erotic anime, a sign that she could be using media consumption as a coping mechanism for her loneliness. Whilst Maya is shown to be generally unhappy, we can see in her photos from Deel 1 that in the past, she was happier, and that she got more unhappy probably due to her sisters.
