This article serves as a chronological timeline for the events of the famous Dutch tranime Ongezellig, including those from not fully canonical sources, such as Maya's Sweet 16 and the Mayamails.

2001

December

• December 16th - Coco is born in the South African city of Bloemfontein.

2002

March

• March 3rd - Mymy is born in the Japanese city of Nagasaki.

September

• September 21st - Maya is born in the Dutch municipality of Baarle-Nassau[1].

2010

The girls participate in an introductory school assignment sometime between September and December[2].

2017

December

• December 16th - Coco celebrates her 16th birthday with a chocolate cake, as depicted in Studio Massa’s illustration “Coco Jarig[3].”

2018

September

• September 21st - Maya skips school on her 16th birthday by pretending to be sick, as depicted in Maya's Sweet 16.

November

IMPORTANT NOTE: Massa stated that the events of Maya's Sweet 16 are not exactly part of the lore, and by proxy, so are the Mayamails.

• November 23rd - Maya, during a history lesson about Anne Frank, gets the idea to start a personal diary, where she writes down her disadventures and thoughts. She also tries to find a way out of drawing with the other classmates and is wary of Coco's upcoming birthday.

• November 30th - Maya, during another lesson about Anne Frank, starts to sympathize with her for being another fellow drone femcel. Maya then remembers that she was jewish and learns that she got some action with another boy, making her immediately feel worse and starting to fantasize about having sex while hiding from le evil chud nazi invaders. She also feels bad for not being asked to join in the drawing sesh by her classmates.

December

• December 5th - Maya and Mymy decide to not partecipate in the klassensurprises: Mymy because she still believes in Sinterklaas and thinks that doing that is a sacrilege, Maya because she's a truecel. Coco later asks Maya why she didn't join and Maya replies that she wasn't invited, to which Coco replies no invites were needed. Coco also offers half of her gift to her, a single drumstick, which Maya refuses. In the evening, the Schoppenboer family organizes pakjesavond for Mymy, and Maya gets asked by her mother, Soei, what gifts she would like to receive, but since she's too embarassed, she simply asks for more kruidnoten.

• December 7th - Maya writes about the previously mentioned events, and also brings up the fact that she's underweight according to her BMI and that she's still preoccupied for Coco's birthday.

• December 9th - Coco barges into Maya's room while she was making her bed creak at night, and informs her that she invited the whole class to their house for her birthday. She also asks if Maya wants to join. It's implied that Maya didn't reply on the spot and instead started to work on a plan on how to avoid showing up to the party and also on how to not be in the house as the same time as the others.

• December 15th - Maya writes down her plan, which involved purposefully falling down her home's stairs, getting lightly injured in the process and being sent to her grandparents for the weekend to "rest". When she's presented with the choice though, she pussies out and goes back to her room.

• December 16th - Maya writes down her thoughts from yesterday, explaining how the reason she didn't go through with it was because it's "easier said than done" and being concerned for what would Coco think if she did that. That evening Coco asks Maya to join her for the party, but Maya refuses. In her diary she talks about how she's not brave enough to actually join the party and feels sad that all of those people are having fun without her.

• Between December 17th and December 21st - The Schoppenboer family goes to the mall and Mymy gets in trouble for shooting the local Santa Claus with a nerf gun and making the child in his lap cry. Coco acts distant from Maya for the week, while the latter takes the Robot Test, explaining in her diary how she's satisfied with the "depressive" results and goes on a rant about the uselessness of Christmas and New Years' Eve and how she's forced to interact with people during the holidays.

• December 25th - The Schoppenboer family celebrates Christmas and more family members join them. They ask various questions to Coco, Mymy and Maya, supposedly praising the first two for their achievements while treating Maya coldly.

• December 27th - Maya writes about the events on Christmas, using the opportunity to mock the other family members for their actions and for how she got treated. She also uses these as a reason for her hatred for Christmas.

2019

January

• Between January 2nd and January 5th - Since school was still closed and the music room wasn't accessible, Cleo, Zoey and Yfke regularly start to visit the Schoppenboer's house in order to practice with Coco for their band. Maya, while trying to go to the bathroom, bumps into Zoey, making eye contact with her. Both don't say a thing, and Zoey just goes back to Coco's room. Maya later writes down her thoughts about the situation, explaining the stupidity of the band for trying "eurobeat folk", bashing Coco for "collecting friends like stamps", complaining about Zoey's rudeness and her ability to have friends while being shy like her and also complaining about overhearing the "hollow" discussions from the band through the thin walls. She concludes the page by saying that if she had a band, it would be so much more fun than Coco's.

• Between January 6th and January 27th - Soei informs Maya that her grandparents are looking for a store assistant. Maya supposedly refuses the offer.

• January 28th - Maya writes down how she's starting to fall behind on keeping her diary up to date, bringing up how she once tried to learn Japanese but stopped as soon as things got harder. She also explains how the only reason she started writing again was to avoid having to study for a test. She then talks about her mother's ignorance about her situation, saying that "she has two substitutes to compensate with anyways" and brings up the fact that she self harmed, but stopped right after the first time because she thought it was just painful. She ends the page by writing about the coming of the "third most depressing day of the year", hinting at it being Valentine's Day, and joking about cutting herself again in order to lose enough blood to skip school.

February

• February 11th - Maya expresses her thoughts and concerns about Valentine's Day and how her school always hosts a school shop for roses so that the students can gift them to each other. Maya states that she always gets one rose, as a consolation prize from Coco, but that she always hopes for another one. She rationalizes not getting another rose by reminding herself that she's ugly and boring.

• February 14th - Maya gets a second rose, but finds out that Coco simply bought one rose for everyone this year, and that the second one was another consolation prize. Maya tears the roses to pieces and throws them in a bin. When she comes back home she writes about it and how "everything is worse now". That evening Coco cooks for the three of them, apologizes to Maya for ruining her Valentine's Day and offers her food, which Maya refuses, going to sleep without eating anything.

• February 15th - Maya skips breakfast and lunch, giving herself a stomachache, eating again only at dinner, because it would be suspicious if she didn't sit at the table with her family.

• Between February 17th and March 4th - Maya consistently skips both breakfast and lunch and has dinner alone, losing weight from 44 to 40 kilos.

March

• March 5th - Maya writes her last entry in the Mayamails, explaining the events of Valentine's Day up until now. She also says that she wears baggy clothing as to avoid people noticing her diminishing weight and firmly states that she's not anorexic, but that she's fasting, since it is a tradition for the people of Brabant during Carnival.

October

• October 13th - The events of Deel 1 take place.
• October 14th - The events of Deels 2 - 6 take place.
